Coding Cave: Automated Testing

We're back in the 'Coding Cave' with Robert who breaks down what automated testing is and what the benefits of using it are.

Automated tests are exactly what you'd think: tests that are … automated. Automated tests are extra code that is written to test the software that we are building, automatically.

The two main reasons we implement automated testing are:

Reliability

We want to check that the software we're building works right. This is especially helpful as we add new features.

Efficiency

Automated testing is much easier, quicker and more effective than testing manually each time something is changed.
